The Italian watch manufacturer Italo Fontana has introduced a limited edition series of their bestselling U-Boat timepieces. The 925 series has the mechanism housed in a sterling silver case.  The Classico 925 series consists of two watches limited to only 499 pieces each. The CA925 chronograph with a beige dial, and the A925 with a black a silver dial. Both timepieces are automatic. The A925 has a  sapphire crystal window back displaying the rotor. Additional silver detailing are the hands, numeral and index markers. The watch was released this month.

Karl Lagerfeld’s creativity continues with the Dom Pérignon Œnothèque Bol Sein: the bosom bowl. The limited edition bowl is a gift with the purchase of the 1995 vintage of Œnothèque, of which only 1,000 were bottled. The to be collector’s item was inspired by a similar bowl that was once modeled on Marie-Antoinette’s breast. The form of the current edition is that of Lagerfeld’s muse: Claudia Schiffer. Crack open a bottle of this on New Year’s. Ticket price: €2,500.

The home of Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett is up for sale again. The asking price of house located in San Francisco, was somewhat higher 3 years ago when it had first entered the market. Now the house’s interior looks nothing like some celebrity’s home that we usually see on Cribs. Then, the place was labeled “Shady Rest Funeral Home“. Currently, the house looks as if Martha Stewart interns had their way with the decor. Such a shame. Possibly the new decor and a reduction of $3.5 million in the price might interest potential buyers. The view is fabulous. Price $9 million.

Social Suicide’s new collection christened as “Dictators of Fashion” will have its launch party on Halloween from 5PM at their flagship store on London’s Ganton Street. Get ready to dump those trendy white iPod earphones. Monster only recently released their Miles Davis Tribute in-ear headphones. The limited edition trumpet inspired high-performance earbuds are numbered and come with a special case resembling that of a musical instrument’s. The Macallan-Lalique partnership continues with the third installment of a continuous series between the Scottish and Alsatian iconic brands. The Macallan Lalique III is a 57 year old Highland single malt whiskey which is limited to only 420 bottles. The previous installments of the series were the 50 and 55 year old vintages. Each Lalique decanter is handmade that involves the work of twenty-five craftsmen and hours of work. The decanter of The Macallan Lalique III is inspired from paquerettes tiara perfume bottles, the stoppers are told to be unique as each has a distiguishable off amber shade reflecting the liquor’s colour. There’s a bottle of The Macallan which currently holds the record for the most expensive liquor ever sold. In 2007 a 1926 vintage The Macallan was sold at a Christie’s auction for $54,000. This bottle will cost you $18,500 plus shipping. It’s available at Planet of Wine. Question: Whose house would I have to visit to be able to taste this?

A Lexus, Toyota and Yamaha collaboration resulted in an electric bicycle. The bike was designed by Lexus and  produced by Yamaha. The 2-wheel drive bike has a carbon fibre frame including two motors  which are allegedly 100 watts at the front end and 150 watts at the crank giving the bike a maximum speed of 25 kph. It was introduced recently at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show. No news of it being released to the commercial market yet.

Canada’s luxury retailer Holt Renfrew pays hommage to the Porsche Panamera launch with a swanked-up event at their flagship store on Toronto’s Bloor Street. In the menswear department surrounded by the well dressed, Holt’s VP Lanita Layton and Porsche Racing Driver David Donohue both comment on the respective qualities of the Panamera at the champagne soiree. The event is part of the Style Rules Speaker Series.
