Paul Smith in the Guardian
Tags: do-it-yourself, office, Paul Smith, shirt, vintage

The Guardian recently did two bits on Paul Smith in their column series of My space, and Do It Yourself. In My space, Paul Smith introduces his leisurely office. Whereas in the Observer’s DIY, Paul Smith lets us in on how to revamp a vintage shirt in 12 steps. We’re even getting a downloadable .pdf pattern for the collar. Not as if we’re gonna get crafty with second hand clothes after reading the amusing article but, nevertheless we’ll have a point of reference of how ill fitting shirts were 10 years ago.

The $122 Truffle Sandwich
Tags: Michel Rostang, restaurant, sandwich, truffle

The next time you’re in Paris and feel you need to splurge of some appetizer, consider visiting Michel Rostang’s restaurant. They got a truffle sandwich - the LE “SANDWICH” TIEDE A LA TRUFFE FRAÎCHE - in their repertoir, which is aged two days prior to it being grilled and brought to your table. The recipe is bread, salted butter and thinly sliced truffles. Worthy food for that champagne breakfast.

Paul Smith Suit
Tags: Paul Smith, suit

Paul Smith suiting always has a high closure and snug fit that won’t please all who try it on. The hand stitched linen canvas structure gives the garment its perfect shape and fit for those lucky enough to wear it. This piece is half-lined and perfect for the summer. Added details to this navy single breasted two button suit would be the sloping semi-jet flap pockets, side vents and the 4-notch lapel. That piping detail in the lining with those signature stripes is an added touch. For a change the garment is not made in Italy, this one is sewn by tailors in Japan. It’s available online at Matches.

The G-1, Nottage Design’s contemporary rendition of the pool table hopes to revolutionize the way we play the spherical arts. The very clean simplified frame design with a transparent playing surface provides ample view of ball return as well as numerous awestruck houseparty guests begging to play a rematch. The patented resin cover on the playing surface is to have to same effect as felt on the traditional pool tables. I wonder if the cue chalk is also clear.

Gran Centenario Rosangel
Tags: Gran Centenario, Rosangel, tequila

I’m dying to taste this hibiscus infused tequila. Gran Centenario only recently launched this innovation. The base spirit is their Reposado tequila in which selected hibiscus flowers soak for 2 months lending the beverage its rose hue and complex notes. This is a quaint reminder to that sealed bottle of Gran Centenario Anejo still stashed in my liquor cabinet. It beckons…
