This year’s the Evian ready-to-wear bottles are designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier and are produced by Baccarat. The collection had already toured Tokyo, Shangai, Melbourne, New York, London, Moscow and Dubai. Now it’s in Paris. The series consisting of five limited edition pieces will be on display at Colette and Maison Baccarat from March 16-21 prior to them being auctioned off April 7th at Artcurial. All proceeds are to go to the Ramsar Convention. The collection is to reflect Evian’s best asset: purity.

Christian Dior & Chinese Artists

A Dior exhibition recently opened its doors at the UCCA. The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing hosts the exhibition entitled “Christian Dior and Chinese Artists” until January 15th 2009. The contemporary artwork of some 20+ artists are inspired by the Dior fashion house, currently celebrating its 60th year. Practically all the mediums have been tapped: sculpture, photography, video and paintings are showcased in several installations. The vast collection of provocative musings are accompanied with a selection of Dior haute couture fashion pieces.

Ron Arad Design: No Discipline

A retrospective exhibition of Ron Arad’s works had just opened at the Centre Pompidou entitled No Discipline. Considering his vast portfolio of commercial office design products, statues, furniture, to architecture the exhibit’s moniker is quite concise.
